We will be lighting 110 candles to represent the 11 MILLION undocumented people in this country that are being used as pawns by Republicans and Democrats alike to further their political agenda. |

March on SalemMay Day 2017 was an important day for many MEChistAs, across the state of Oregon, the annual May Day Rally was taking place and at this year's address in Salem, the state's capitol, Governor Kate Brown reaffirmed her commitment to the Latinx community, both undocumented and documented.

Caravana Contra La Represión en MéxicoMEChA de OSU hosted Caravana Contra La Represión en México, an organization that has been touring the country in order to spread awareness about Mexico's Federal Government hiding the truth behind the 43 missing Ayotzinapa Students from Guerrero, México.
The Caravana featured one of the missing students parents, who told us her experience and journey through this difficult time. The event was hosted on October 30th, 2016 at the Native American Longhouse. |

White Elephant!MEChA hosted a White Elephant gift exchange with many of our members and friends of the organization in our Snell Office. People brought food to share and we all had tons of fun, as more people send in their photos, we will continue to update the slideshow on the White Elephant! page.

I Am Not A StereotypeThis event is aimed towards debunking stereotypes. Students from all over campus were invited to attend the event on Thursday, November 19th, 2015 from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the Memorial Union Quad.

Students of Color Speak OutAs many of you have seen, a petition has been started to show President Ed Ray that our community expects the administration to show their support and come listen to the feelings, thoughts, experiences, and overall voices of students of color at OSU.
